  • Why do people like this album so much?

I love the Ramones. I have all their first album, leave home, Rocket to Russia and Road to Ruin (4 albums that you must get), but after that their music changed for the worse. That began with this album. This album totally ruined them, turning them from punk to... I really dont know what this is. End of the century was the end of an era for the Ramones.

This is the best Ramones album ever. Phil Spector made the Ramones sound great! It's a shame he only produced this one album :(((

  • A Good Album On It's Own

This is definitely an album worth listening to. You have to look at two major elements to appreciate this album; 1.) Phil Spector production and 2.) The influence that music from the 50's and 60's had on the Ramones ["Danny Says", "Baby, I Love You"]. A little bit of added [Ramones] history, "Chinese Rock" [originally 'Chinese Rocks'] was written by Dee Dee Ramone and Richard Hell and originally debuted on the Heartbreakers album, L.A.M.F.

I only have the first five of their albums. This album is my second favorite. The songs that really get me going are "I'm affected", "Chinese Rock", "I can't make it on time"....allmost all of them! Plus the bonus songs and demos are great. I definately recommend this album for any fan of the Ramones!

i got it on red vinyl. great pop. thats right, pop. They even describe themselves as a pop band, so ppl out their, they arent that punk, so shut up. stop beign ignorant and face the fact that you just might like more than 2 closely related genres
