I was raised on this band, dear god. I remember my dad telling me the story of the whole Carbona/glue things, why the other was written. I remember making the Ramones out of SOCKS with my mom, and watching Rock and Roll High School with her. I hear it's raining cats and dogs in Idaho. The album is great, the band is great, and I recommend everything by them. Long live rock and roll!

compared to previous albums road to ruin was the ramones weirdest concoction at that time. starting off with the classic ramones song i just wanna have something to do. the weirdest thing about road to ruin is the acoustic guitar but otherwise is classic ramones

Road To Ruin was the first Ramones album I bought, because I loved the album cover so much! This is by far one of their best, and Marky's first album with the band. Some highlights are "I Just Want To Have Something To Do", "Don't Come Close", "I Wanna Be Sedated", "Needles & Pins", "Questingly", "It's A Long Way Back", or just do yourself a favor a buy the entire album. You won't regret it!

What can I say? Oh, and the Bad Brains (legendary DC hardcore band) took their name from this album.
