Many will disagree, but I feel this is Neil Young's greatest work. The sonics are truly visual and warm. Neil sings with great force and emotion here. I have to go back to the sonics again. What a brilliant production. Danny Lanois brings his brilliance to the stage here. Amazing how many years I have been walking right next to Neil.

People don't as a rule like change and when a favorite artist steps out of their usual box and does something different it can be shocking but sometimes you have to open your mind. Neil Youngs Le Noise is the equvilent of Bruce Springsteens Nebraska or Led Zeppelin III. Nobody liked those albums either when they came out but the genious is in their stripped down simplicity. Everything is raw and out there, nowhere to hide. Take another listen, it's beautiful. Madonna should take a lesson from these muscians.
I think I'm in love with Neil Young.

I was initially turned off to this album by the some bad reviews and some quick listens to some of the previews but actually it's amazing! I thought he was getting a little soft/boring on some of his recent albums but this is truly moving and haunting Neil at his latest best. I'm so glad he's still doing cool new music and inspiring new generations of fans!

This album is surely one to be treasured for generations. One might say it is out of Young's character, but it is exactly like he is. Neil Young is famous for trying new music and styles to what pleases him. This is a far cry from "Sugar Mountain" but it is equally emotional and and brilliant. A great buy for any true Neil Young fan
Classic Neil

Leave it to Neil Young to do something new that doesn't sound rehashed. His voice is a great counter-part to his deep, fuzzed out guitar.
O_O WOW !!!

Wow, like other folks who have posted reviews, I've been listening to Neil Young's music for well over 40 years. And he doesn't disappoint if you open yourself and listen. For those seeking soft music (altho he can deliver that as well) much of this may not satisfy. It's not soft, it's soulful. Walk With Me, Love & War... two among another collection of excellent musical expressions Rock on, Neil.
Love this

Don't get some poor reviews I've heard. I'm diggin it. But is it just me or does Love and War sometimes sound like Adam Sandler?:) Dig him too:)
Not a surprise really....

One thing that I really admire about Neil Young is that he unapologetically does his art. I don't like everything that he does but I do like that he hasn't made the exact same album 40 times. It's more like another take on the themes that have pervaded his work his entire career sonically and lyrically. The topical, searching, angry and divergent Neil Young is a part of all of his work throughout his career that we as fans all love and respect him for to some extent. It's not a masterpiece but how many musicians of his generation even try to venture out and attempt something like this?
