  • This is Neil's most underated acoustic record!

I loved it right out of the gate the first time i played it. As far as his acoustic records are concerned this is hands down the best one. It works well because he's older & wiser & he keeps good company with the likes of Harris, Ronstadt, Keltner & Keith.

My favorite album. Everything on here is pure and "so personal I can barely sing them", which Mr. Young stated in an interview about the album.
  • Truly mellow pleasure

Just the last two tracks alone make this make this one of my favourite albums. So beautiful in every way. If you like a true aged distilled Neil Young this is the finest money can buy.
  • Neil's last good album?

I have a soft spot for this album, which is very pleasant to listen to. I got to see Neil Young tour this album and came to really enjoy the songs. Not a surprise that a few songs such as the title track date back to earlier times because they are quite good. Unfortunately, I think this was probably the last good Neil Young album - I really dislike anything he put out afterward.

This album has some really nice songs that should be in any fan's collection. Tracks # 1 (Good To See You), #2 (Silver & Gold),#8 (Distant Camera) and especially #3 (Daddy Went Walkin') are my favorites and all great Young tunes. However, I must beg to differ in regard to the iTune reviewer's inference that "Buffalo Springfield Again" is 'borderline' in any way. It may not be his deepest or most insightful song lyrically, but it's actually quite a catchy tune, reminiscing about possibly getting back together with his old Springfield bandmates, now that they have a little more maturity and years under their respective belts. It's kind of cool. What if they were like so many great groups of old (think David Gilmour vs. Roger Waters and unfortunately many more) who sadly can't get past old differences for the sake of art and/or their fans. Maybe the song's a little light and optimistic, but better that than the opposite.
