I have always, always loved the meters. And this band, dare I say it, almost out-funks them. They've got that dirty funky sound, but they pick it up, it's got some energy, and lots of great grooves. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I've been grooving to this all week.

just saw these fellows in victor, idaho. blew me around the dance floor and beyond. just about the tightest group of musicians i have ever been lucky enough to catch. i'd drive in a snow storm to just about anywhere to see them again.

You have to buy this one. I have not heard music this good in a long time. It is right up there with MMW and uberjam by Scofield. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

These guys are putting it together. With jazz-funk sounds like Poets of Rhythm, Budos, and Grant Green you can't loose. 100 and 2 percent orignal!

This highly talented quartet-plus-one from Great Britain has hit the States with a much-needed shot in the funky bone with its latest album 102%. With grooves channeling the likes of Grant Green, the Meters, the Greyboy Allstars, James Brown and his band, the lads from Leeds create an original take on an old American classic form with a little spice from across the pond. PS, their live shows are non-stop energy.

This is a great new band from Europe, very funky, with a MMW feel at times. I have really been enjoying these guys, very fresh.
