David messed up when he and John couldn’t work through their egos. John Sykes would have taken whitesnake to super stardom. If it wasn’t for John Sykes’ contribution no-one would know who whitesnake is.

This is bad. So bad. There comes a time in every rock vocalist's life where they should just hang it up. Be proud of the masterpieces they created at the height of their vocal ability, but know when to stop. Sorry David Coverdale. Same happens with almost every excellent rock vocalist, unfortunately.

I think some of these other reviewer‘s need to get their ears checked, David was finally able to recover the original master tapes to all of these recordings from the 80s and they did brand new 2020 mixes from the original tapes. This is what the song sounded like in the room when they were made. They’ve taken off all of the crappy 1980s reverb it was laid on top both the mix and the final master and left a dry room mix which is the only way music should ever be recorded to begin with. Listening to one reviewer talk about how they took all of the passion out of David’s vocals… It’s the same vocal track you moron… The difference is all in your head. I wish more bands from the 80s could remix their masters as beautifully as David did with these

I am a curator of all the Whitesnake I can get my hands on. Thusly, I purchased this. It's only $10. I was excited about getting my ears on the unreleased Coverdale songs. One of which is pretty solid. The songs that were on Restlesss Heart have been augmented by Joel Hoekstra's guitar, and I like the new sound. Too Many Tears, to me, would be more suited on the upcoming Blues album. And Love Will Set You Free would have been on the Rock Album, if it were up to me. The classics from the '87 album sound good, refreshed, as do the songs from Slip of the Tongue. The other songs are decent. Not sure why one of the reviews critcizes Coverdale's voice, none of the vocals were touched.

David Coverdale needs to stop with all this cash grab nonsense. Whitesnake needs to hang it up.

These don't sound anything like the originals. The sound like remakes, if not it sounds like the master tape was dragging when they (remastered" them...
