Slip of the Tongue (Super Deluxe Edition)

Whitesnake remains my favorite band, since 1984, and I usually buy anything I can when they put out something new. But, I got a bit upset when they released a second anniversary edition of Slide It In. I bought the first one, a two disc set. Then, a multi-disc, much more expensive edition came out and I couldn't justify it. I did get the super deluxe edition of the '87 album and never regretted it. I was apprehensive when I heard they were doing a super deluxe edition of Slip of the Tongue. It wasn't my favorite album, by a long shot. I really don't like Cheap An'Nasty, or Slow Poke Music, or The Deeeper the Love. I know after hearing interviews with David that he actually loves all three. I bought this because it has Kill For the Cut, and Parking Ticket. They were kinda like the holy grail for me. I knew they were written for the album, and had always wanted to know what they sounded like. And, even though neither is "polished, or finished" I like both of those better than all thre aforementioned songs. I think the album would have been more successful with both of those. I also noticed Burning Heart (Vandenberg) and Ain't Gonna Cry No More and We Wish You Well, on the track listing for this box set. I had to have it. There is so much material here. Any fan with a love for Whitesnake, and the financial means, should buy it. Or, pick and choose your favorites. I still haven't listened to all of it yet. The Evolutions disc is really cool, as I like to see how various stages of writing work out. The '87 disc's evolution CD is a little rougher, a little more raw. By the time Vai came on board some basic tracks had been laid down so you don't hear the writing process.
