United Breaks Guitars - Single

This isn't a hastily written novelty song, this is a true work of art. Great vocals, great guitar, and well-done lyrics prove that you don't need a big budget or a super-deep emotional heartfelt event to inspire a good song.

I love this song and video a lot, simply on musical and video merits. When I consider how Mr. Carroll has flipped a damaged treasure (his Taylor guitar) by an uncaring company into a musical asset of this quality without being condescending, my admiration soars. I offer him my sincere congratulations on a job superbly done.

Very, very clever and so well done . . . and making a point without a just being angry . . an artist!

It takes both talent and decency to get revenge in a tasteful manner. To do so with an amazingly catchy song in the process makes that revenge all the sweeter. Nice job, Dave. My kids and I love both the song and the video.

A quirky and surprisingly well-written ode to the broken heart and broken guitar of a man who flew with United Airlines. I absolutely recommend this song to anyone who's had to deal with poor airline customer service... which, sadly in today's world, means pretty much anyone who flies anywhere!

it is indeed good comedy, and a good satire; but from a guy who actually knows how to write music. that being said, i don't usually go for the country/pop rock genre that this song is, but dave carroll wrote a good song in "united breaks guitars". he also has a great voice, and looks like james taylor, although that's irrelevant.

This song is great, I want to hear it on the radio. Remember kids dont take guitars on United.

Pitch perfect in every possible way. Canada has produced another musical prodigy. Dave and the band are simply great. And best of all, the music is accompanied by smart, poetic lyrics. I may even ride out to Halifax this summer to go to one of their concerts. They're THAT good!

Great Song, sounds like Johny Cash, simple, funny, honest & fair, kind of what you would want from someone you do business with.
