I never thought I could even slightly begin to compare a band to Brand New, but Manchester Orchestra is the first contender I have found. The lyrics are beautiful, the melodies are unique and every track has a different tune. This music triumphs over the usual pitiful lyrics that make up the genre. HOWEVER- As nice as Andy Hull might seem because of the sensitive lyrics, after attending his concert I was heartbroken by the way he treats his fans. He was rude and made me regret ever paying him money because of his cocky attitude, egotistical comments and lack of any stage presence except for when he was telling the crowd to "shut up". A fan even gave him a balloon out of adoration and he was reluctant to receive it; when he did simply threw it on the floor without saying anything and making a face as if it was a stupid gesture. Yes, the music is great but I don't recommend seeing him live, it ruined my perception of Manchester and my wanting contribute to his success- in his mind he is already "IT".

this album is incredible I listen to it once maybe twice a day. but my favorite song by them is colly strings and honestly colly strings is in my top ten favorite songs of all time! keep it up guys!

Manchester Orchestra justs knows how to do everything right. From the lyrics to the soft and steady play of the instruments, everthing is so beautiful that I just want to dream away the day with Manchester Orchestra. Andy Hull is impossibly talented. The songs are brilliant in structure, beautiful in sound, yet, in some cases, peppy enough to dance to. Buy this cd. This band has been my obsession ever since I bought it.
