    I've been buying a few soundtracks to Rocky Horror this Scaretober. This cast is full of overactors (bad ones) who are adlibing the songs so much, that most of the notes that sing are either cut short, or entirely different from the original. I understand doing a little bit of personal flair, but the flair in this one is just so bad. They used to have the 1998 recording on itunes, but not any more. With Jason Donovan, that one is so so much better. I like Eddie's Teddy in this one, it's pretty poppin, but most of the songs are just too cringy to listen to.

  • Raúl Esparza's Riff Raff is the best thing ever. Period.

    Seriously, I've never heard the Time Warp done better. I don't think it CAN be done better. Esparza blew this out of the water and rocked it straight into space. It ain't gettin' better than this. It blew my mind. I used to dislike the song "Over at the Frankenstein Place", but then I heard this cast's take of it. It's now easily one of my favorite songs. Tom Hewitt's Frank doesn't beat Tim Curry's, but he gives the character a different twist than I was used to. It's a very interesting portrayal, and very much worth a listen. This cast makes the entire album worth it's salt. I dare say I prefer it to the original. And I do! Raúl Esparza tho. 11/10

    i have been looking for this for a long time and everywhere.....cant believe that i finally found.....i am so happy and i agree with one of the other reviews, this is better than the movie one.....dont get me wrong i still like the movie one just like this one better...plus i am a huge fan of daphne runbin-vega and alice ripley

    omg ive been listening to this CD since before i could walk. my uncle directed the music and conducted he music too. so of course my mom played it in our car all the time. before i could talk i was singing this album! (too bad i didnt hav any idea what the words ment :/ lol)anyways, this CDs awesome! buy it! buy it! BUY IT!

    This is by far the BEST recording of the show's incredible music. I am not a big fan of the movie (I think it destroyed the original stage show) and I think this cast nails everything down to a T. If you want something pleasant to listen to, purchase this version of the album! Nothing else will do!

    I must say that the cast in this is extremely strong! Jarrod Emick, Alice Ripley, Lea Delaria, even Joan Jett Daphne Rubin Vega and EVEN Raul Esparza shine! Tom Hewitt is also great, but I've gotta say Terrance Mann was better. Terrance Mann is just amazing at almost everything he does!!! But overall, great job!!!
