This record marked the end of Heart's classic-rock era, due to changes in producer and band personnel. All my favorite Heart songs are from this record and before, and Bebe le Strange does not disappoint. The Heart that emerged after this still had killer vocals, but the instrumentation (heavy synth and electric drums) was not a change I cared for. But this record rocks along with their best.

This was the first Heart album I bought. Although the singles (Even It Up and the title track) weren’t huge pop radio hits, this is a really consistent album. I think the Wilson sisters made a conscious decision to make a hard rock album, and the majority of the album is just that, with a nod to Led Zeppelin. Apart from the singles, Rockin’ Heaven Down is a great track with a ferocious vocal from Ann. The softer tracks towards the end are good too. Recommended!

Heart was one of the best pop/rock girl bands of the 80s. I'm only 19 years old and I absolutely love this band I would recomend this album to people of all ages.
