While the above review describes this album as "aimless self-jamming" I consider the meandering, layering, and often informal instrumentals to be this album's strength. Meyer doesn't make any claim to the fact that his virtuoso on the double bass is not equaled by his skills on the mandolin, however I think he successfully layers the instruments in a way that creates an excellent ambient album that is extremely pleasant to the ear. For someone looking for a test song, "Woody Creek" is my favorite track off this album, however this is also great as an album for dinner or relaxing background music.
