Luv this CD. I like the way this great musician bided his time on the tonight show with his own future perspective in mind. Then striking out and doing what he loves..playing jazz. I've played this recording 5 times now..it gets better with every listen!

I saw Kevin Eubanks live a few years ago with Dave Holland's Prism. I have never witnessed such virtuosity on the guitar as I did that night. Incredible chops and tasty at the same time. I was really looking forward to hearing his mastery translated to one of his albums but this album feels like a generic swing jazz album that features the horns more than Kevin's guitar. Sad to say that this is mostly unmemorable, but I gave it two stars for his composing abilities. In the future, I would love to hear him feature his guitar mastery a bit more.
