I think that Toad the Wet Sprocket ste the bar very high on the studio recording of this song that this live version sounds horrible. It's way too mellowed out and too different. I mean I like the song, but I prefer the album version over this live recording.
easily one of the best bands around

been listening to these guys since 1994 and have seen them live several times, as well as their lead singer Glen Phillips during his 10 year solo career, and they are always top notch live and a very gracious group of guys. this particular recording was done in 2008, they haven't made a record in 13 years (although word from the guys is a new one could see light in 2011) but get together each summer to do a short run of shows for their fans. so check out this great track, download their studio records, and revel in the warm guitar and vocal bliss that is TTWS
and check out Glen Phillips' 2005 Universal Records album "Winter Pays For Summer" if you want to hear some of the best songs and vocals in the last 20 years
Ummmm...it's live

DUH....It probably doesn't sound like the original studio version because it's a LIVE recording...which, in my opinion is awesome. I think it's from the original single. I seem to remember it having a live version on the B-Side.

Re-recorded, not remastered.

And it sounds nothing like you remember it. Seek out the original. Buyer beware.
