Love Toad's songs; this album is hands down on my top 3 of all time. The title song is great but the more I listen to the album the more I realize that every song is a gem. If nothing else please listen to "Friendly Fire" probably everyone in these days needs this song.

Simply incredible. I cannot imagine a more beautifully crafted collection of songs to demonstrate the alchemical magic of great performance, great sounds and great production that are the vehicle to demonstrate a particularly deep wisdom and emotional intelligence in great songwriting that has long been a hallmark of Toad the Wet Sprocket. This strikes me as the most pure distillation of what Toad the Wet Sprocket exemplifies. Bravo!

Though I love Toad the Wet Sprocket, and have for decades, I’m not going to be a fanboy here. I downloaded this EP the moment I saw it, thinking it would be more of the great quality songs we got with “New Constellation.” (That release was my favorite album of 2014.) Unfortunately, “Architect of the Ruin” is a major disappointment. I can see why some of these songs were left off “New Constellation.” It’s nice to hear Glen’s vocals again (and Todd’s on one track), but really, I never would have missed these songs. I’ll count on better material if and when they put out another full-length record.

Thrilled when New Constellations came out, and now Architect of the Ruin - EP. Feels like bonus tunes from a New Constellations Deluxe Edition. Wonderful songs, lyrics and composition. Can’t wait to see them in the Midwest this summer!

I've been waiting for this one song "Friendly Fire" after herring it live a few years ago. I was so disappointed it was only available on the vinyl version of the last album that I only gave it a four (I'll go back and change that now!) "Finally Fading" is also great. All the songs on this EP are cool, as usual.
