By far my favorite Julie Andrew collection. Irish carol and green sleeves are flawless!
This is a great blend of Julie’s vocal and Andre Previn’s instrumentals.

The BMG project released in 2000 is one of my favorite Christmas albums, Julie’s vocal on this just cuts through, love the classical arrangements and “Deck The Halls” has to be the definitive version. Her Christmas album was rather short when released in the 60’s so to fill the album out BMG adds instrumentals by Andre Previn and the result is a satisfying listen The arrangements of glorious strings and harpsichord on the instrumentals compliments the string arrangements of Julie’s vocal performances and offers a sort of relief. “Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem” is a favorite of the instrumentals and Julie would put her spin on this classic on her 80’s Christmas lp recorded for Columbia.
A Christmas Classic

I most recommend "Wexford Carol." It was on a cassette tape I had growing up; it's definitely among the most memorable songs of my childhood. With the transition to different musical storage, I was afraid I'd lose this song (especially since I didn't know the name and the song is rather rare) forever. So glad to find it again along with many other Christmas classics sung by Julie Andrews!
Precious!
