Cincotti is at his best in this album. His Piano plays true and his songs flow easily. From UBU to Man on a Mission, this album is GREAT. Easy to listen to while you work, drive or anything else.
Hate it

I love Peter Cincotti. I've been a big fan since the very beginning but i HATE this CD. I hate when people can't just be satisfied with the thigns they're good at and what made them popular. Did Frank Sinatra ever change? NO, he just kept singing the same old style and had one of the biggest careers in the history of music! When people love you and learn to lveo you for one genre of music, please don't go changing it. It's like marrying someone and then 5 years later they decide to be a completely different person. Sometimes it might work, but in this case it doesn't! Case in point... this cd was a flop and he hasn't been heard of since!
Peter! I miss you very much!!! But ome back and sing me more thigns like On the Moon. Being original doesn't mean you have to change your style- you can still write original songs. Just give the people what they want!
i do like cinderlla beautiful but it just doesn't sound like you! your voice and such awesome jazz piano is made for things like your other 2 recordings!
This boy moves me!!

Not a bad song on it.
There is a serious emotional depth to this CD. And it has me riding along with it.
I rarely think anyone wants the country life these days, ... no one but me.
Bless ya, fella!!
Rock me.
And the world will never be the same.
We are emerging from the deep of the dark ages.

I downloaded the songs as soon as they became available and kept adding more. Some advice - you might as well download the entire bonus track the first time and save some money. I dug deeper and found his older albums and got hooked on some of those. It's amazing to see how talanted Peter Cincotti is and his music will be standards years to come. I wish I could go to one of the shows on his tour since I've been listening to his music since January. The songs are so different from the usual hits you hear now and his piano playing is magnificant. Do yourself a favor, your in for a real treat!

To be honest, felt embarrassed to have not have heard of Peter before seeing him open for Seal here in Austin. This guy is the real deal. Can't decide if he plays the piano or sings better!! Serious talent - reminds us of a young Billy Joel. But better, sorry Billy... This CD will be the music at our house for summer 2009 and years to come.
Interesting Journey into Pop/Rock

Peter Cincotti's new album has great vocals, original songs (I think all written by him), and jazz influences that testify to his impressive career and training in jazz.
This guy is a great pianist and he can sing! My favorites are Lay Your Body Down (Goodbye Philadelphia), Angel Town, Be Careful, and The Country Life. The first is just a good song- kind of sad, poignant- should go mainstream if people pay attention... The next two are pop/rock-y (think electric guitar wailing) and kinda catchy. The last showcases his voice and pianos skills. It's a sweet song about living simply with nature. This album seems more like alt./rock than strictly pop, but that's a small matter.
To buy: Lay Your Body Down (Goodbye Philadelphia)

Just discovered Peter Cincotti last night when he opened for Seal in Boston. Serious chops on this guy — vivid lyrics, gritty and nuanced keyboards, memorable melodic lines, strong and knowing vocals. And as it turns out: He's every bit as good live in concert. Cincotti manages to pluck some of my favorite, meatiest traits from Billy Joel and Elton John, while leaving behind the schlock. I may be a new fan, but I have a feeling I'll be singing Peter Cincotti's praises for a long time to come. I hope he keeps writing, and performing.
Love this CD

I love this album! Peter Cincotti doesn't just think outside the box. He kicks the box out of the way! It is impossible to compare him to anyone else. I have all his cd's. His self-titled album and On The Moon are fabulous, but this one outdoes both of them by far. Peter has proven himself as a pianist, and jazz vocalist. Now we can add songwriter to his list of accomplishments. Jazz, Rock, Classical - he does them all on this album. Can't wait to hear more!
Pop Music is Alive Again

I have been a fan of Peter's music since the beginning. His new adventure into pop music is breathtakingly beautiful. It's like classic Billy Joel and Elton John with a jazz twist. The songs are exceptionally well crafted and contain many musical surprises, a rarity in today's field of boring, "uh-yeah", booty shaking swill. The only annoyance is the over use of Peter switching up into his falsetto range as a vocal technique. It's O.K. once or twice but wears a little thin after multiple times. Still, that does not diminish this amazing recording and I hope everyone discovers this wonderful talent. Well done!
