Halloween III soundtrack will always remain as one of my most faveorite Carpenter scores ever. It has amazing synth work and really fits well in the Halloween series, without copying. We used to use tacks 1&2 in out local Jaycee's Haunted House. Track 2 makes perfect maze music.
  • A Witch to be reckoned with!

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Halloween III, as I simply separate it from the others in the series. The score is as under rated as the film itself. Carpenter and Howarth give us a score that speaks volumes over the soundtracks of today, with electronic mayhem and a very deep, brooding sense of dread not heard since the stellar score to The Fog. This score is a rare treat since it does not need the film to tell the story. In it's minimalist approach, Halloween III allows us to see the film in a light most dismiss as the dog of the franchise. Give this score a chance, and it grows on you. Welcome to the Season of the Witch!
  • Amazing score!

An amazing score to a highly misunderstood and altogether underrated picture, in my opinion. Up until recently, I thought I had heard all of Carpenter's great scores (Halloween, Escape From New York, The Fog, etc.), but man, was I wrong; I caught this movie the other night on cable. Awesome. This score is every bit as good as those other classics. I don't normally write reviews, but my reverence for this music has prompted me to do so. A great find.

With Carpenter's classic 80's sound, mixed with the rythmic and haunting electronics of Howarth, this is a must have for horror fans. The movie only has a couple of memorable attributes and the score is at the top of the list. This particular version with remastered tracks and new cover art is a steal at 9.99.
