Bedtime Story (Remixes) - EP

In the 1990s, Madonna made a sharp left turn into r&b music with her album Bedtime Stories. One of the songs from the album is very different from the rest of it, perhaps because Björk co-wrote it. Madonna looked to Björk’s album ‘Debut’ for musical inspiration. Afterward, she asked Björk to write a tune for her. This flattered Björk, she took the offer because “she wanted the Queen of Pop to sing her words.” A mid-tempo electronic and house song with acid, ambient techno influences. "Bedtime Story" has an underlying skeletal synth melody influenced by minimal trancemusic. The track unconventional, electronic sound was a departure from the pop-R&B-based tracks throughout the rest of the album. Bedtime Story is about Madonna leaving the realm of logic behind. It has the unusual refrain “Let’s get unconscious, honey.” Lyrically, the song talks about the joys of the unconscious world. The track Björk co-wrote for Madonna is offbeat alternative vibe with a beautiful single cover which makes madonna look like a completely different person.
