The musician behind pop song can come play in my chamber any day.

How do you boil down moonlight sonata? I don't know but Frankie does. This album is an example and exploration of what he can do compositionally.
He writes for the instruments with a sensitivity that I truly deeply love. The flute isn't sent all over on a senseless path for lemmings, doubling what other instruments are already playing. No, Frankie uses the instrument purposefully and without nonsensical showy ornimentation. The beauty is in what is played. The woodwind writing is so smart...It's the kind of brilliant that makes me want to stand up and yell Bravisimo! in the middle of the song.
The sax song is unforgettable...it creeps up on me and I find myself listening to it and enjoying the honking sound of the half steps--And Enjoying It!
Frankie, you can't just unleash this on me and not give me in my chamber some more serenading. More please!
