She’s done better on other albums

I listened and I feel Jane butchers the memory of Ella Fitzgerald. “All Too Soon” and “Somebody Loves Me” are painful to listen to—totally painful. She’s trying way to hard to differentiate her version of the album songs from other singers’ versions. Much of the singing is off key, either intentionally or accidentally so; either way, it’s a total miss. I find the album impossible to listen to and I would never suffer it again. What a disservice to Ella’s wonderful name.
Drunken Trumpeter

Ms. Monheit, you have one of the loveliest voices around and I love all your albums. But, your trumpeter sounds drunken and depressed on some of the tracks. Plus, I’m not altogether sure he’s aware of the tune you and the band are performing, as he sounds like he’s on a different wavelength much of the time. Otherwise, I look forward to your next album, sans trumpet.

One of the most talented jazz artist of today. I have been a fan of hers since "Never Never Land" I am so happy to hear her doing a CD of Ella Fitzgerald songs. If it's like one "I've Got You Under My Skin" then I know its going be a winner of a CD. Download this CD and then download her others. You won't be disaponted
