This is a major improvment over the quagmire that was Love. Death. Immortality. Much more deliberate movements and a return to the darker grittier sound of Drink the Sea. it's faster than their original album, but that isn't a bad thing in this case. Goood job.

It's like call of duty in the way that every time they make an album, they go farther away from where the fans want. We want music like DTS, but we got some generic electro-dub step in Love death and immortality. POTI was a better step toward DTS, but still leaked the last album. I did like this very much, other than the same sounds used in pretty much every song.

The Glitch Mob sounds like it is back with music that incorporates both Love Death Immortality and Drink The Sea. The songs, for the most part, have a faster tempo like in Love Death Immortality and they have the deep resonating lows of Drink the Sea. All in all this is very promising after the relatively disappointing Love Death Immortality. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Ever since LDI, I've been eagerly waiting for more music from these guys - and here it is! I'll just go ahead and say that I'm a fan of both Drink the Sea and Love Death Immortality. This close to tops both of those. They have managed to give us something new and fresh while still retaining the signature sound that separtes them from the rest of the pack. Head Full of Shadows - A loud track that during the drop screams tribal. I just love how tribal and sort of jungle it feels. I would say that this track out of the other 2 stand out for being the most unique. It's not repetitive, it's unique, and it's Glitch Mob! 9/10 FTW Better Hide, Better Run - This being the single of the EP, it makes sense why it stands out the most. It is the Glitch Mob at its core. A powerful, hard-hitting track that sounds absoulutely stunning, laced with the vocals of newcomer Mark Johns, this song is definitely the highlight of the EP. 10/10 FTW The Clouds Speak for You - A slower and more melodic track; not a typical Glitch Mob song, but still good. Fans of Starve the Ego Feed the Soul will like this. A relaxed and calm vibe that calms me down after the intensity of their other tracks, it is definitely worth listening. 7/10 FTW Buy it ples
  • Mob tramples over itself - a different tempo and feel

Drink the Sea and Love Death Immortality were MUCH better in my opinion. -The tempo of POTI feels much faster than previous albums -the synths are complex, layered upon layers, the leads are high pitched and whiney. It still has The Glitch Mob sound to it, good melodies... but I prefer the beefy, bass-driven simplicity and slower tempo of Drink the Sea (songs like Fistful of Silence, Drive It Like You Stole It, Fortune Days). LDI was more uptempo than DTS but the drum patterns were more punctuated and dramatic.... the music breathes with beat downs and less non-stop glitch noise. Bottom line: Drink the Sea = driving/cruising music, electronica Love Death Immortality = dance / pump up / pregame music Piece of Indestructible = sprinting / thrashing music / closer to Skrillex & Knife Party

I just finished listening to this EP and each song is beautiful in its own way. Head Full of Shadows has a dark electro vibe and the signature Glitch Mob sounds as well; it reminds me of Skullclub from LDI. Better Run, Better Hide has a more in your face kinda sound, sort of like Can't Kill Us but in its own way. The final song The Clouds Breath for You is a beautiful song that is much slower than the others, yet still makes you feel full of life at the same time. Kind of like a twist of Palace of Innocents and Starve the Ego, Feed the Soul. I know I compared these songs to previous songs by the Glitch Mob, but Piece of the Indestructible is still great sounding in its own way. I expected nothing less from the Glitch Mob.

I got to hear a couple songs off of this EP at the Glitch Mob concert at The Knit, and it’s really fantastic. The songs have some of the warmer tones of Drink the Sea but the nastier feel of Love Death Immortality. I particularly like the first release off of the album (Better Hide Better Run) because it’s got almost a touch of hip hop after the bass drops that makes me want to dance more than their usual songs. I don’t think these have quite the hooks of Drink the Sea, but DtS was basically perfect album so it’s unfair to compare. Glitch Mob fans are going to adore this EP. I know I do.
