Julian has a new fan. I am thrilled I discovered this artist. Can't wait to listen to his previous albums. The album is recorded well and I really like the tone he pulls from his Guitar.

The best thing about Julian's music is that, although a lot of his background lies in Jazz, he's always willing to explore other outlets withing the large music spectrum. He is very expressive, and beyond harmony, rhythm, tone and other things, his dynamic range is what impresses me the most. It's what makes a lot of music human to me.
Whether you enjoy Julian's ventures outside of Jazz or not, everytime you listen to his playing you can't deny that he's playing exactly what he wants to be playing and gives it his all.

Saw Julian play a solo set of these songs in San Diego last month prior to the release, he's an amazing guitar player and composer who conveys some great moods in this collection, very intimate and heartfelt....👍👍

This was just released on iTunes today, but I’ve listened to it throughout the day. Julian Lage is a gifted musician - who just happens to play guitar - but, boy does he play guitar! This is introspective music that is imbued with a playful joie de vivre. I suspect that it will reward many listenings.
