Kawaiokalena was the runnaway winner at Hawaii's 38th annual Na Hoku Hanohano awards (2015). This beautiful Hawaiian classic is said to be Keali'i's last recording. Word around the Island is, he's retiring. That being said, you'll probabaly want to listen to it with a Mai Tai - Glasses Up - Cheering his incredible history of incredible Hawaiian songs.... like gentle trade winds cooling your sun struck body... as the palm trees sway in the distance... waves carressing the gentle shores... plumeria's tickling your nose. Thanks to my family's stay at Disney's Aulani earlier this year (2014), I was exposed to this man's enchanting Hawaiian music. There's something unique, and inspiring, with each and every song in this album. This album feels like an extension of what Keali'i Reichel's composed within the Aulani Resort. I even enjoyed "Home", originally sang by Michael Buble, and was also covered by Blake Shelton.
