I'm still waiting for the movie that this album goes to. :) They should produce one.

I have been listening to Two Steps from Hell for a long time. No matter what type of day I’m having, their music seems to lift my spirits. This album is beyond imaginative, it plucks at your heart strings and stirs emotion. This album makes you feel like you are in a fantastical land filled with magic and great things. Not many can pull off this album’s grander.

I found this album to be pretty dull compared to their other stuff. Wish I hadn't bought this one.

This is one of the best filmscores ever written, even though there is no film. Beautifully written inventive and emotional themes and some awesome epicness as well. Battle At Hoback, Nightwood and Fire Mountain are all incredible. Gore’s theme gets me every time I hear it. Need a longer version for the next book. He’s the Giant is beautiful and sad. Colin’s theme is classic Hollywood and Downstream is an amazing and uplifting end. Read the book as well. Great story.

Yes! Two Steps from Hell have returned to the majestic genius that drove their success in previous albums (specifically Archangel and Invincible). Their previous efforts in SkyWorld (2012) and Miracles (earlier this year) were decent albums in their own right, but they did not draw you in like Archangel, Invincible and now this effort do. Thankfully they have returned to complex soul stirring style that they have become famous for.

I haven’t listened to the entire album very much, though there’s a lot of really, really beautiful stuff throughout; the album is mostly composed by Thomas Bergersen, and I’ve always preferred his style, so that’s another plus. But quite honestly, the first track on this album is one of the best pieces of music I’ve ever heard. Such a heartbreakingly beautiful melody- the kind of music that makes me want to cry and laugh and run and fight and- I’m looking forward to putting this on my exercise playlist...

Colin Frake on Fire Mountain Soundtrack is by far one of the best albums I have purchased in a long time! It does a wonderful job pulling you in deeper into the book with it's beautifully well written music. Both Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix do a phenominal job at making the scenes in the book come to life with the use of a live orchestra. Even after reading the book I keep listening and relistening to the soundtrack playing the story through my head over and over. That's how powerful this soundtrack really is. If you haven't purchased the book yet then I highly suggest that you do, for they go perfectly well together.

I love how TSFH was able to retain their own style of music in their albums (how there is a huge emotional variety while still remaining intriguing) into a fit storyline. That blows me away. The track "Colin Frake" immediately grabs your attention and forces you into a fairytale-like land, whether you wanted to enter or not. The next two tracks, "Prologue" and "Legend of Velkee", take the build-up provided in the first track and really let the story begin. In a world imagined like Colin Frake, it is bound to be a land full of mystery and adventure. I was very pleased to hear that these two tracks really built up mystique about the world. The energy was present, but it wasn't exploding. Instead, these tracks were expertly crafted to pique the interest in the wonders of the world you are now in. "Nightwood" is an amazing transition from the mystery into the journey ahead, and hope was blossoming. Being very uplifting, it was well placed. "Fire Mountain" was an incredible break and, honestly, caught me off guard. This was a great way to show that it is not a place to mess around in. Not that it sounded like a good place to be anyways, but whatever. Thundering drums and roaring horns really carry the point across. If you are not full of wonder and premonitions yet, the next tracks will fulfill that, especially the raw, gypsy viola(?) of "Hadrian's Demon". You guys really went all out on this soundtrack! The next two tracks seriously bring me back to the TSFH that I've come to know and love. Vigorous, epic music is a specialty of TSFH, and if you forgot, you will be reminded immediately after hearing "Battle At Hoback" and "Queen of the Forest". These two tracks go so well after one another. "Reanne" somewhat reminded me of a track called "Aura" by Thomas Bergersen. It was energy filled, but it wasn't too much. The retention of this energy through this track wowed me despite not being outright action, and the massive variety of instruments impressed me. "Downstream" was a wonderful way to pick up where "Reanne" left off. Slowly building up into a triumphant fanfare, it was a great way to end the album. I'm going to be honest, I have not read the e-book yet. However, when I get the chance, it is top priority. The simple fact that they wrote all this for a BOOK is epic enough. All in all, it was a phenomenal album, and TSFH always reminds you why they are the best in the business.

It saddens me that I do not have the technology to read the ebook, however, I can already feel the amazing adventure the main character is experiencing simply by listening to the album! Thomas Bergersen and Nick Pheonix has yet to fail me, and I really enjoy Nick's singing! Keep up the amazing work! I'd like to add that your guys have insipred me to become a musican in film scoring in the future. I am only one year away from going to the university I wish to attend and study what is the power of music. Thank you guys for all music you have created! You guys definitely have the most unique style of composing and if the entire world were able to hear you guys, the whole world would not deny how amazing you guys are!
