You shouldn’t copywright infringe on VanHalen. Your remarks are some of why Eddie was not received at the awards. 15 seconds isn’t enough for the netherland guitar god. He made his guitars. I would apologize to Wolfgang. I always believed Eddie VanHalen was special musician. I try not 2 get hung up or down in dealth. Thanks Apple Music Sammy Hagar and EdVanHalen.

Sammy is a legend and his shows still rock like crazy. From somebody who used to love Eddie/Dave, Sammy in all his forms left them in dust many moons ago.. Guy is also an astute business dude which makes him even more fascinating. Keep it going Sammy....we love you!

Remaking "Margaritaville" by anybody should be a crime. Other than that Sammy and Friends do a fair to midland job..
  • Something for (almost) everyone

As someone who has collected everything Hagar put out since his early days in Montrose, I can easily say this album has something for almost everyone — from those early days with Ronnie, though the Capitol years, the HSAS tunes with Neil Schon, the new "lifestyles" Sammy Buffett incarnation, and a touch of Chickenfoot with Satriani. I keep listening to this album in the car. I love the diversity of songs. It really is like a "best of" album featuring all new material. Definitely a keeper. About the only thing missing is tune with Eddie. Maybe that's asking too much given the three new songs that appeared on "Best of Both Worlds." I remember Hagar apologizing for most of those tunes following his reunion with Van Halen. Even though "A Different Kind of Truth" is a great album, is is mostly old stuff revamped. Perhaps that well has finally run dry.
  • Sammy is timeless - still has a lot of energy passion around his music

This the the first Sammy album I bought since his Ten 13 album and I am now wondering why the hell I waited so long to get back on the Sammy kick. This album shows a level maturity in his music that I have not heard before. Simple put Sammy is now in a position to put out an album and not have to worry about living up to music critics thoughts or perceptions. He is comfortable with his stage of his musical career and I love the depth in which touches on other musical genres not just his usual energized Rock... He touches on country rock, zydeco, and soulful / bluesy rendition of Personal Jesus. Every time Sammy teams up with Neil Schon it is magic. I wish they would collaborate more. The live version of Space Station # 5 rocks, as well as Going Down. I saw Sammy with VH 4 times, the latest one being the debacle reunion tour. I saw Sammy 3 times live solo and this album inspired me to see Sammy in concert on October 22. Loved the show. The only criticism I have... I wish some of the songs were a little bit longer! But that just leaves me with a taste for more of the Red Rocker!
  • See Sammy Live...then follow up wit these tunes...

I see a lot of shows every year and Sammy is currently out with his four decades tour where a lot of these songs get mixed in with the oldies. It's not just the music...he is a consummate professional who loves his audience and they love him back. As others have said, putting this level of talent together takes some effort and I think it's his love of music along with the audience that makes folks want to party with him.

As a long time fan it's exiting to see where Hagar might journey his talents into. Two songs that hit the mark are All We Need Is An Island and Winding Down. AWNIAI has a hypnotic rhythm and vocally is a great mix with Nancy Wilson. Winding Down is also a great bluesy vocal that connects with a lot of today's social issues. It's a shame both songs are so short as they are just good songs instead of great. Father Sun is the best overall original. Personal Jesus, does not connect. Bad on Fords is a country song that's fun. Ramblin' Gamblin' Man is a solid remake. Going Down and Not Going Down are ok but lack the "it" thing. The album overall has enough variety and quality sound to make it an impulsive buy; I can't recommend. I wished Hagar and his friends spent a little longer on each song; as some of the magic could have made for a great album instead of a good time. This sounds more like a first rough draft. C average.

I think this album is great. Some of the songs are real power houses and some are not. No albums perfect. I do like the wide spread of different types of songs though, that makes it really interesting to explore.
