I was late to the party when it came to Nakia's appearances on The Voice, and only discovered his music after reading a subsequent article in Austin Chronicle, but one viewing of a video of him and I was hooked! This EP satisfies in all fronts — loving the retro soul sound that reminds me of Sam Cooke tracks, and the rich grit of Nakia's voice is truly stellar.
