If you listen to this expecting Rampal performing, you will be disappointed, as he is the conductor. The flute soloist is so-so. I don't play as well, but I have higher expectations of someone who presents himself as a professional. If you are a fairly critical listener, look elsewhere for a better performance of these Mozart Concertos.

I was very disappointed with this, when I bought this I thought it was rampal PLAYING NOT CONDUCTING. whoever this flutist is they seriously need to work on their intonation and tone. this is a disgrace to the mozart flute concertos.

Rampal is amazing! Everything about him exudes greatness! His tone quality is wonderful which is shown off in the choice of these songs. He really is the closest thing to being the perfect flutist and this cd really shows that off!
