Necro has been using metal beats on some of his past few albums...to hear a whole album of Necro over metal beats is awsome...i love metal and to hear this is a match made in hell....lol

I think I'm actually being a bit generous with the 3 stars, but I'm a long-time Necro fan and (at least heretofore) pretty unshakably loyal. I'll just say this, Necro is at least as sick a beatsmith as he is a lyricist, arguably even more so. Anyone that knows his music knows this. And he's fully aware of this too, which is why he's had unprecedented success releasing instrumental only versions of his albums in the past. I mean who does that? If his beats weren't totally top-flight sick-as-f*#%, who the hell would buy em? Suffice to say his beats more than hold their own, and can rightly be regarded as half of what there is to be excited about with a new Necro release. I can't really say that's true in this case. As far as I can tell these are all previous Necro tracks, re-imagined as metal. If you're a metal fan u may dig it, I don't know. I dig metal well enough, but I'm not personally feeling these, at all. Not sure what prompted this release exactly, but I sincerely hope it's a one-off, concept album only, and not indicative of a serious shift in his focus. I respect any artist exploring new territory and I'm down with that. I just hope Necro doesn't abandon the style he pioneered and for which he has an undeniable gift as a producer.
