An amazing album for a culmination of a type of sound.

I love this album. Took a few listens to appreciate it. Favourite tracks are definitely Backyard Skulls and Escape Route. And thanks Scott for being gracious enough to hang out with a very big fan in Nashville! Made my year!
  • Killer find!!

Stumbled over these guys a couple of weeks ago. Every piece of material feels deliberate and fresh. Absolutely << In Love >>... Scott is a complete lyrical genius.
  • So so good.

This album speaks to me just as much as the last two. Matter of fact it's better than "Winter of Mixed Drinks." Amazing that Scott can create this without the "breakup" motivation. Everything you want from this band is here in this record. I love this CD. It is so rich. So many bands die young after a few good albums. Not happening here. These guys write music like they don't even care if they're famous. After listening to this record I can go back & totally sink into "Modern Leper" or "Good Arms" ilke I never have before. No one should try to recreate their roots, and FR avoids that pitfall gracefully & with an album that stands on its own lacking nothing. 5 STAR *****

There are good lyrics; there are great lyrics; and there are Scott Hutchinson's lyrics. His lyrics are willfully and emotional honest; a reflection of his shyness in his childhood. Like: "soft and patient to reflect its muse; "hides a coward's heart in a lion's chest", or "swallow the sweet self-loathing". Musically, the band has never been tighter or more experimental. Grand and moody!
  • On par with State Hospital

Very disappointing. Just mediocre song writing. Very creative arrangements but can't save a sub par product. Loved their last two releases.
  • 'Rabbit have done it again!

This album is wonderful – I'd say it's better than 'Sing the Greys' and at least the equal of 'Midnight Organ Fight'... No other band make music that affects me quite as directly as these guys do: if you haven't heard Frightened Rabbit then you're missing out!
