What guitar player in the world today wouldn't just love to sit on her porch and listen to her play. Grab yourself a sweet tea, lay back, listen.

Mesmerizing, Etta Baker paints a perfect picture with every cord. Classic songs executed with amazing skill and sensitivity. Close your eyes and listen to the stories she tells, you can almost taste that mint julep and feel the sun in Tennesse.

What can one say that would explain the need for focus of crisp distinction. Baker not only delivers in a way like none other, her history and culture is brought to life with this fantastic cd. If you have never been to the carolinas she will take you there, none stop. Excellent.

This is some of the most unique and just plain great guitar you may ever hear. Ive listened to a good amount of blues and this isnt your standard blues licks. Its not standard anything, its just great, believe me, you want this album.
