I recently BOUGHT a ringtone from Apple. After buying the ringtone, apple wanted to charge me again ...... to use it! Look, why not just charge more for the ringtone to begin with instead of having this hidden charge. It is insulting to tell someone they have to buy something, and then pay to use what they bought.

An excellent distillation of all the series music. Splendidly done.

I wanted only 1 song and couldn't do that via Amazon or I-Tunes. WHY NOT??? so I rated the album 1 star.

Amazon beat iTunes on this one... You CAN buy just the first and last songs with Amazon's new MP3 download service. The TV main title theme is a classic and the Israeli Philharmonic rendition is awesome!

Great show, Great movies, ( 3 is coming in may) but you have to buy the album if you want one song???iTunes just lost 2.99 cuz im not going to pay 9.99 for 2 songs. Good amount of money for for over 20 songs but no thanks. Nick

Good evening, Mr. or Ms. Phelps wannabe. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Search out the original Mission Impossible theme. You will discover an album with gems that MUST be from the original show (plus some later themes from a reunion show, most of which do not meet with our retro tastes). But, oh, the treats that lie within: the original opening and closing themes, as well as "The Plot", "Ready", "Good Job", all state and restate the theme and sub-themes with fresh arrangements and special flavor. You don't hear REAL acoustic instruments and orchestral arrangements like these on TV today. It's all synthesizers ala' "E.R." and "Law and Order" (themes I happen to like. anyway). Of course, the "Scrubs" theme is an exception. As to the interview with Peter Graves: we wish it was really done with Phil Hartman, who portrayed Graves as the Discover host on numerous SNL skits. Buy this album. Thank the spirit and genius of Lalo Schifrin for the suspense and excitement he creates, the memories his music evokes. Then, put it on before your next Impossible Mission (Christmas shopping? Anniversary shopping? Explaining sex to your pre-teen? Rooting for the Dolphins?) It will psyche your spirit for the task at hand. You'll be glad you did. You WILL succeed, before the last commercial break. This message will self destruct in five seconds......
