Absolutely wonderful! Should be sung in church services around the world. Truly a worship song! I was shocked to read the original words to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.

I want to sing this in heaven with you, to our risen Lord, while the angels listen in and wonder.

Super voice and lyrics much more appropriate without needing a psych degree to interpret the meaning as in the original version
  • Therefore let us keep the feast, Hallelujah!

Her cover of Hallelujah is amazing. Not everyone has heard all the lyrics of the original & are aware of the real meaning. It's a beautifully lyrical son on its on but it is odd hearing hallelujah in conjunction with the context of the rest of the song. I've always wished this was adapted for a spiritual song. American idol contestant did one & it came close. This by far is my new favorite version. & found on Good Friday no less. Thanks Kelley for this!

My mom posted this video from GodVine to Facebook of a woman singing an Easter version of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'. It was hands down the most amazing version of that song I had ever heard. I balled my eyes out and just felt God's presence come over me. I shared the video and then decided to see if I could find the song on iTunes. Lo and behold it's on here! Hallelujah! I will definitely be listening to this song repeatedly over the next three days during the Easter season! Thank you so much, Kelley Mooney for listening to your priest in writing a cover for this song. And I'm so glad it's on iTunes!
