This is a great album, and well worth the money! It is definitely one of my new favorite jazz listens in some time. I really like Conceptions, Look Ma No Hands, and Hip to Bop. The title track has a great transition to wa-wa style of horn playing at 2:10 into the song. I would highly recommend getting this album.

Listening from start to finish, Hip to Bop takes you on a joyous ride. Maurice Brown has that classic and masterful sound you hear from legendary players like Clifford Brown, Clark Terry, Freddie Hubbard, and Miles Davis, but with a youthful, contemporary, urban groove. And like the timeless albums these great artists have given us, you'll want to listen to Hip to Bop over and over and over again. Hip to Bop isn't just any old album - it's a movement.
