Welcome Back

I have 4 mp3 files - the whole album side copied into 1 file - ripped by a Macintosh tranferred to pc by a guy with a working turntable from my old vinyl albums. I also purchased Love Song and Final Touch from iTunes. These complete remakes of the songs are not bad - they may even be good. But they are not the songs you remember from the original albums. Now that the original albums are here, consider this a third album by the group - certainly not their Greatest Hits.

I remember the original Love Song -- I went forward to receive Jesus in the tent at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa during a Good Friday Christian music concert (I think 1973). I am more than grateful for this version--- it so quickly takes me back as if I were there again. DW

Released in 1994? Where have I been??? Love Song has never sounded better. I'm doing the math... I was a teenager when these songs were originally released. Now, in my 50's... That means Love Song sounds like angels and they are just a little bit older. Can't wait to Welcome Back the band in another decade! Love you guys. Praise God you came back into my life after all these years. I hope I get to praise Jesus at the feast with my long lost friends... Love Song!

THis is ok, it gives you a vague idea of the vibe that was the beginnings of the CCM movement, in which Love Song had a seminal role. The ORIGINAL is now on iTunes...if you want the true experience, get that! This just leaves me with a commercial taste in my mouth...sorry guys, love ya, but some things you just don't remake!

I love the song little country church the lyrics are so great!

No these are not the originals - but in many cases they are better. The recordings are richer, vocals and instrument mixes are much better, and several of them just flat-out rock harder than the originals. Luckily, I have all the Love Song recordings in my iTunes catalog (originals, remakes, and live versions) and it is a joy to bounce between them. Don't listen to the nay-sayers - get this collection and enjoy - the message is still the same!

I enjoyed their live performance last week and wanted a keep sake....they are special from an original Christian era. This album is very good with many memories a long the way. In fact the sound and recording was superior to the live performance mix. Larry

If you want to hear the original versions of "Little Country Church" and "Maranatha" you can search for The Everlastin' Living Jesus Concert on iTunes. All other Love Song tunes seem to be new arrangements.

I am a new Christian and did not have the opportunity of hearing Love Band back in the days, but I have got to say that I love them now. They sound so amazing and this cd is awsome! The words are beautiful and timeless. Wow, if Love Song is this good now, I can only imagine how awsome they were in the 70's! The truest, most wonnderful words spoken about our Lord and Savior Jesus! Can't get any better than that!

Love Song's remastered, or whatever you call it, it's not even close to the original album "Final Touch". Why isn't the original available??? Also, I'd like to see Chuck Girard's album "Chuck Girard" on iTunes as well. I'd like to have the song.. Little Pilgrim!
