Anyone giving low stars has to be under 30, 'cause you don't really know hip-hop/rap unless you grew up in the 70's/80's. First off, Kool G rap is one the greatest lyracists, period, so I was glad to see him still working. He's never been mainstream and gets little respect, especially from people who call lil Wayne the greatest rapper of all time. By the way, the greatest rapper of all time is Rakim. If you know Wu-Tang and the RZA, this is just what you'd expect and you got it.

No fancy samples, auto tune or laser beams. This record is dope.

The track is good. However, for a moment of clarity, this is the old RZA. He's known for revisiting samples that he already flipped, and this is no different. He only used it for a skit/intro to one of the tracks on "Enter the 36 Chambers" (Clan In The Front). He did it again on with Method Man's "Tical" and Raekwon's "Only Built For Cuban Links" when he took the intro to "Tical" and used the same sample for "Gullotine." He's even re-used the sample for "Shadowboxing" (Liquid Swords) on "Fast Shadow" (Ghost Dog Soundtrack). Yes, the lyrics could be a little better and the beat is very laid back but when you add up all the elements, it's still vintage RZA and vintage Wu-Tang. Peace.
