The song "Someday Man" was the flip side of the last great Monkees single; "Listen to the Band/Someday Man". Both songs are terrific, a nice way for the band to bow out. "Someday Man" by the Monkees was sung by Davy Jones. Check it out.

No One can sing a song with the intesinty meant as the songer writer, and team him/her with a compaser that gets it. It hits the mark as this album does. Only one of Paul's remarkable sets

This record is a pop classic! Also check out the band he was in before this release, The Holy Mackeral.

This album obviously just went completely over the writer's head. I love this record -- one of my favorites of all time.

I completely agree with the other reviewer for this great album by Paul Williams. The official review is completely wrong and should be ignored. It's wrong for a great songwriter and lyricist like Williams to have a rude review for his only album available on iTunes. Although this is not his greatest solo album, anyone who knows Williams, and the contemporaries he partnered with, will like it.

"Someday Man" is one of the loveliest and most unsung records of all time -- a mature, heartfelt selection of songs by Roger Nichols, who appears to be mostly appreciated these days in Japan, where "softness" doesn't always = "greeting card whimsy." Much like "Pet Sounds," the songs deal with relationships, but while "Pet Sounds" is about teenagerhood and young adulthood, "Someday Man" is about a later time -- disillusionment, sadness, divorce, complexity reign. The title track is magnificent, the phenomenal "To Put Up With You" hits hard with a dark, disappointed sentiment, "Roan Pony" is about an escape found in childhood reminiscences. Gorgeous melodies abound, and the fantastic arrangements will blow your mind. Open your mind to the "soft," my friends.
