  • Cool Grooves!

Refreshing! What a great production too. Smooth vocals, a good beat, and guitars - more guitars than previous Halou albums. It's great to listen to them progress from their electronica roots while retaining those elements of their distinct sound. I've been listening to their music for a while now and by far this one stands out. My favorite tracks on here are Seabright, Any Bird That Dares to Fly, and Professional. All cool grooves. This would be a good album to get into if you are new to their music.

This is a great album from a band with an outstanding trackrecord for great albums. Their range of quiet to rocking, dark to sweet songs offers a little something for everyone. What a treat to have appearances by Robin Guthrie. Professional, Any Bird That Dares to Fly and It WIll All Make Sense In The Morning are my favorites of the album.
  • Hollywood Ending For Halou

Great album. Probably their best. lIstened to it repeatedly yesterday. Halou have created the perfect fusion of electronics and traditional instruments. Everything sounds so organic yet textured and polished. Refering to the title of this review, "Halou" features the third re-working of "Hollywood Ending" and to my ears the best version. Yet I wish Halou, a criminally ignored band outside of KEXP, will finally gain the recognition the band deserves. I should say if anyone reading this is an indie film-maker or a trailer editor..I would figure out a way to obtain sync licenses to these songs asap. I can only imagine how much more powerful these already stunning songs would be when married to remarkable visuals. Next to M83 Saturday=Youth, this is the best album of the year end kdc

I was impatiently waiting for this album to be released. When Halou releases an album you know that's well worked on and thought through. Well done Rebeca and the rest of the Halou members.
