Cabin Ghosts - EP

I bought the Ep for this guy's voice alone. The range and tone offer such an intimate experience. I actually prefer the slow stripped back arrangements of tunes like "So Wrong For Me" and "On My Side" Well, well worth the amount for this Ep.

I saw Cory Chisel live a couple of months ago when he came to Des Moines in support of Meiko. Needless to say, I 've been hooked ever since. Very great voice and perfect songwriting. When I think of folk music he is one of the first singers / groups that comes to mind.

I saw and heard Cory and the band for the first time last night at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis (on tour with Meiko). They were great and the band was very friendly. You won't regret buying their album!

I just saw Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons last night in Milwaukee, opening for Rachael Yamagata, and I was blown away. He has such a beautiful, soulful voice. I cannot recommend this group enough. They are amazing. I predict huge things for them. Interesting fact: Adriel Harris, a member of the band (with a beautiful voice, I might add), wrote Norah Jones' "Don't know why." Yeah, there's a lot of talent in this group. Buy it now!!!!

Wonderful, lyric, intelligent, soulful, original music. Do yourself a favor and buy it!

So I can't remember which, either free itunes song, or free starbucks song, but I was introduced to this band, and have loved it! I purchased the EP, and can't wait till Cory comes out with a full length album. There is a calming sound with his music, that it's perfect for a lazy day, and great to just chill out to. I recommend for any folk fan. I see big things for him in the future

Their newest single "Getting By" is just old-school soul! Cory's voice has such a great rootsy, soul quality to it, it's a must buy!

Cory's song writing is both deep and foot tapping all-in-one. The Wandering Sons fill a room with as much talent as an entire music festival. Season that with a few musical guest and you have one of the best new releases of the year. Bravo guys! (and gal) I only wish it were a full length release.

Beautiful, intelligent, emotion laden music. I love musicians who sing their own songs. I can really feel the emotion in each lyric. Very much like Johnny Cash in that way. Different styles but I get the same feeling from Cory's music. Combine this music with some Josh Ritter and you are in for a treat. I really look forward to more from this group.
