I'm from bellflower and I grew up to this stuff. From King tee, comptons most wanted, quik, eazy and every member from NWA, and many rappers from the west coast and east

Never heard a terrible song from Quik. All his collaborations especially AMG, 2nd II None, and Suga Free have never been a waste on my ears. The speed, lyricism, and instrumentation have a timeless effect on me. I listen and remeber the good times with my homies... smokin, drinkin, cruisin, scamin on chicks. Great F'n times. Growing up in So Cal, this was a staple along with Cypress, Tribe, Black Sheep, NWA, Suga himself, Eric B and Rakim, Too $hort, the list goes on. Yea I'm white, but I know great music when I hear it, and grew up listening to the best of R&B, hip hop and the first tapes that blew my mind, NWA Straight Outta Compton, which I stole from Warehouse Music and Too $hort, Life is Too Short. When Quik came on the scene it only made the music better. Dove Shack, Warren G, Nate Dogg. Man the scene on the West Coast f'n reigned, what happened? Oh yea cops, and the police state.

Smooth chill music by the Quiksta. He's not exactly a gangsta, he's just pimping and bragging mostly but is still surrounded by a crazy neighborhood where he has to watch his back. His beats are funky and simply excellent. Not his best work but he sure as hell proves himself in this one.
