You can't get better then the Streets Of Rage series. The BGM is still the best even after 20 years. I'd like to see the current consoles do better.
If you like to listen to VGM then get ALL Yuzo Koshiros' albums, you won't be disapointed.

My brother and I were born in the early nineties. I was only one when the game came out, but when I was old enough to play I was more amused with the music than the actual game. I have been searching and searching for the music and to finally come across it is just amazing. Yozo Koshiro is a genius. Anyone who can make music from a video game that a person would want to listen to on the regular basis is BEYOND talented. Amazing.

I've loved the music to this game since I was a kid back in 1991 when I first played it. I would have never thought one day you could buy a CD with the songs on it, but I'm so happy that you can. For its time, these were amazing tracks, and they're still amazing and hold strong against current video game soundtracks. Nothing else I can say but awesome.

I'm really glad I found this album on the Music Store. Back in the 16bit era, this was the BEST videogame soundtrack, period. Yozo Koshiro is the mastermind behind the greatest music of Sega games. Street of Rage was a big hit, but i guess a lot of people like me liked more the music over the gameplay. It's great to have this album, I spend years looking for the original CD, and have this piece of work at one click distance is something only possible these days. My favourites tracks are: "Atach the Barbarian", "Big Boss" and "The Street of Rage".
