  • If you like laid back music with catchy bass, you'll like this.

This album is at its best when they let the smooth, catchy, soothing bass take over. The best example is with "Henri." That really is a great song. But the problem is that this is one of those albums where the best songs are in the front and as the album goes on, it just kind of starts to run out of gas and putters along. It goes from using that bass to be soothing to using almost nothing but soft drums and soft vocals, and that's a little too mellow and generic for my tastes. Ultimately it's a worthy album for the money, but again, the quality of it goes down the farther you get into it.
  • Not great!

I have been an Edie fan for years and am let down by this new venture. It misses a lot of the airy tones of her older work and has an over-produced pop feel. I did not like it and I regret the purchase.

A few months back, they were posting a lot of songs from these sessions on the web. What I heard then was FAR better than what finally made to this CD for some reason. Odd, because there were some really fabulous songs. These are really good, but those that didn't make it were better. "Long Line" for one.
  • Great CD but it's not in some stores.

I had to order this CD online because no stores where I live bothered to order a single copy. The 6 Best Buy stores in my area aren't stocking it and neither are some of the other bigger music retailers. Oh well, I ordered a copy with an 'edie-graph' so I'm satisfied. Get this CD! Harper and Edie make a great team.

Edie and Harper hit it out of the park with this one — a great collaboration. The sound is fresh and original and at the same time comfortably familiar (like a great pair of jeans). For anyone who has followed Edie from the Bohemians days through her solo work this is a must have. Her voice has never sounded as good or as powerful. She just keeps getting better over time. This is a complete album not a bad track to be found. So far my favorite tracks are: Confused(4), Better(2), Henri(1), and Need a Friend(8).

Edie finally found the right place for her remarkable talent to be showcased. This album is a culmination of her years of musical experience and the raw emotion that she brings to everything she does. Top notch production here... great lyrics and music. Perfect for a chill-out morning. You will love it. Congrats Edie.. I think you have a winner here.

It is great. The lyrics make sense. It is worth your buying. I have it and am stunned by it's beauty. Buy it and you will not regret it. You will love it. Confused, Oh Darling, and Henri are worth getting as samples. Get it.
