  • It's a good album but has its flaws...

First, iTunes should seriously get the actual music cd versus the instrumental cd. I picked up this CD in while in Mexico City. Many of the songs on this album are inspirational and well written (i.e. Iglesia, Dame un Poco Mas, Reparame, Regalo). However I've noticed that this album is so much slower unlike Sobrevivire which is a fast beat to it. Her three “fast” songs varied music style. While I enjoy Puede Ser it only until I hear the out of place funky techo beat. It’s so out of place it nearly ruins the song for me. Adicta is a much better song with consistent beat and great backup voice. I understand the meaning behind her song “No!” which deals with women of faith who often stray from God and His Word by loving men who are not of the faith who claim they can change for them. The truth is that she learns that she should not get involved. Great beats however she doesn’t use her full vocal talents in this song. She’ll start strong and in order to hit the higher notes she sings lighter and in a somewhat falsetto voice. It works fine BUT the voiceover from the “worldly” man and his version of rap is so rough and out of place compared to the voice she’s using. Ultimately, I find this album to be the “middle of the road” for Lilly. While it’s not bad it’s not great either (plus album cover is a terrible ... her face tends to blend in with the red not a good color choice). She has some wonderful songs with positive messages but the mix of genres doesn’t allow me to give it the full 5 stars. She is so blessed and talented that I know she still has a lot more phenomenal albums to come. Blessings, Biddy78
