Honestly I'm not much of a hip-hop fan, but this album blew me away. I had the priveledge of meeting Lifesavas at a hotel in Missoula, MT (of all places). Not only were they really cool dudes, but their originality and musical craft was apparent in their creation of a wickedly brilliant concept album. These guys have so much talent that it's a wonder that they aren't the current kings of hip-hop. It's a refreshing alternative to the shallow mediocrity of gangsta rap today.

this album has some sick beats! spirt in stone had good lyrics, but it lacked these kind of beats. this album rocks. i recommend it for people who want to hear good beats that actually have decent lyrics.

Props to Sleepy Floyd, Bumpy Johnson, & DJ Shynes. This is a COLD album worth the money. I see many rotation spins on my iPod. Let get it CRACKIN'....... Great effort. Keep it up for the (Pacific North) West Coast. Gutter, gutter, gutter-gutter, FLY!!!!!!

I like the Quas sample for double-up from Chippin. They jack the 4th of July beat from Mobb Deep's last great album for Shine language (annoying chorus). I deduct one star for making me sit through a few other recent songs I'd rather listen to. Producers please wait before sampling the same old same old....

Great tunes, too much "N" word for a progressive rap act.
