I'm a huge fan of InSoc from way back and although I'm sorry to see Kurt go, this track kicks nicely! Buy the EP just to hear "I like the way you work it" at the very least. Can't wait for a new album.
  • Almost Perfect

Wow, this EP is actually really good. I wasn't a fan of the Kurt solo insoc releases so I was hoping this would be good. And it is!!! Kurt just didn't have the true insoc sound on his own. Now the true insoc is back in musical form. If only Kurt had been on board for the vocals this would be perfect. But I'm pleased that the new singer actually sounds good.

The album sounds pretty good, but the vocals arent what they used to be. Kurt makes a much better vocal contribution to the band.
  • I really want to like this

but ehh, not inspiring. The music is pedestrian. Very club and very typical of what i hear when i go out. It leans a lot towards insoc's weakest album "peace and love inc" but without the saving grace of Kurt's expressive vocals. This new guy sounds monotone and flat. The effervescence, churning groove (and sense of humor?) is absent. C'est la vie I'll check out synthesizer when it's released

So glad to see this EP arrive. I was getting antsy just listening to the group only on MySpace. Definitely check out "I Like the Way You Werk It", that's probably my favorite right now. This is just a fun, energetic cruise down a funky music highway with your friends and mine, Information Society! Love the new vocalist, he's making me smile.
  • Finally!

Oscillator is the first release by Information Society in about six years. It features the vocals of new lead singer Christopher Anton, who does not disappoint. The chosen tracks for this EP are a great taste of what's to come with the upcoming LP "Synthesizer" - great catchy electropop dance music that people have come to expect by this legendary synthpop group. Features the extremely agreeable tracks "Back in the Day" and "I Like the Way You Werk It," along with three well-executed remixes of "Back in the Day," and lastly a b-side live track. The last track is a true rarity, a recording of "Great Big Disco World" recorded live in Japan back in 2006. This EP is highly recommended - the music is fresh and appealing, but still retains the signature intelligent, tongue-in-cheek quality which has come to be seen as very uniquely "Information Society."
