Ah ah ah....don't get tricked. These are re-recordings. The voice tracks are real but the studio backing tracks are not the originals.
Poor re-recordings Beware!

Bad music and BJ is nothing like the original on these songs. On I'm so lonesome I could cry, he doesn't seem to be able to hold a note and drops into staccato to mask.
Pass on this and get the originals.
Enough Already!.........

Can someone tell me why, WHY isn't ANY of B.J. Thomas's original studio albums not up on the iTunes store? By that I mean his classic stuff from the late 60's through the 70's with all his legendary hits, so I don't mean the recent Gospel stuff, etc. I'm not joking there isn't ONE of his studio albums from his classic era up here, instead you have tons of re-recorded greatest hits crap. I'm doing my best to wonder why a single solitary album in B.J. Thomas's discography is not up on the iTunes store. How long has it been now? A few years? Geez, when do you think you'll actually put up B.J.'s original studio albums on your store iTunes? Makes me wonder who has the rights to them. Why are you putting up this garbage instead of the goods? Somethings gotta give regarding B.J. Thomas and iTunes.
poor music quality

The recording of the music is very poor qaulity. It is a shame for a singer as talented as B.J. Thomas to have an amateur music recording.
Ahahaha...... XD

It's to bad becasue I love B.J. Thomas. He has such a strong and commanding voice but K-Tel covered his voice with mud - muddy back up instruments. I think if you're desperate for Mr. Thomas then buy it, if not, wait - wait for the actual recordings that made us love him.

While B.J. is in good voice throughout these powerful cuts, BEWARE: These are all re-recordings, most evident in the sloppy and unsure guitar riffs at the bridge and towards the end of the title track. It's like whomever is playing, is playing it for the first time and can't find the right string or the right fret. They're dead giveaways for re-recordings. It's the best of what's available on iTunes at the moment for the B.J. Thomas library. Adequate, but not the real deal.
