I stumbled upon these delicious sounds while looking for his Love On A Real Train. What a find! These are the hypnotic and sweet sounds one wants to hear in bed, and not alone in bed. You can listen while in your parlor or on the patio and pretend you are 22 again your lover is in your arms! This is masterful music.
  • Wonderful musical conversations

Mariano is a super talented guitarist who has mastered blues, soul and some interesting Brazilian rhythms. The fun part about this release is the conversations he has with many other musicians who play unusual instruments like the flugelhorn and harmonica. Most I've never heard of except Deodato (Would you believe? Where has he been since the 70's?). Torcuato's guitar talks a good story, too. It's all so remarkably full of feeling and musical surprises. I have listened to it many times without ever tiring of it.

Just recently heard this guy via XM and WOW, what a beautiful sound! If you enjoy music by Peter White, you'll enjoy Mariano.

Torcuato really has a very special touch and sound with his guitar. It is not like listening to the all-repetitive smooth jazz guitar sounds on the CD 101.9's around the country. He's got personality, and he tells you stories with his playing rather than just parading guitar licks! Spectacular music!
