I saw the whole series and it was awesome. That generation, the greatest of our generation, when I found this sound track list, I had to buy it.

One thing to note: the music from Band of Brothers (Michael Kamen) was great in its own way, and Kamen had a lot of theatrical soundtrack experience. Likewise, music from The Pacific had the expertise of Hans freaking Zimmer, Neely’s mentor, on many of the tracks. This music is Neely standing on his own, and while it is “lighter” in some ways than the scores of its predecessors, it fits the moods of the production and it does not disappoint.

To those who say this is lifeless and generic, you need a new set of headphones. This soundtrack is a solid piece of score for this series. It succeeds in everyway, "Soar" captures the essense of the air. "around the clock" is intense and hectic, plus several others. I'm sorry, band of brothers is the best WWII story ever to be put on cinema, but the soundtrack was forgettable. The main title and suite 2 were the only tracks that were okay. The hate for this series is laughable. The production and effort put into this show is top notch. I'm a historian to the tenth degree, but come on people lets be realistic.
  • Generic & Lifeless (much like the mini-series)

It’s such a shame after the incredible soundtrack and show we got with Band of Brothers, and the amazing “Honor” theme we got with The Pacific miniseries that we are left with such a generic and lifeless soundtrack for an equally generic and lifeless mini-series. It has all the right instrumentation and does its best to mimic the heartfelt scores of its predecessors, yet — like the show its self — something is just missing. With band of brothers there were multiple songs from the song track that stuck with you and even twenty years later are ear worms. The pacific had an incredible theme song — but was lacking outside of that — MotA just isn’t what it should be. They should have moved on from TP’s composers and brought on someone like Mark Isham — a composer that has put out some incredible film scores (October Sky & Warrior to name 2)
