I am disappoint… I was expecting to hear some fiery vocals from one of my favorite artists, only to be so so disappointed. How can this even be branded Alanis? Did she provide some light tones somewhere; there she is track 5. Is she playing the Oboe or some other instrument in the majority of these tracks or something? Instead I get turn based puzzle game soundtracking…

I happened to stumble upon this album on its release date back in June and after hearing the previews decided to buy it. It’s the first album I’ve bought in this style of music and I am so glad I did. It’s the first I’ve heard of Alanis Morissette’s work, but after one full listen, I was instantly a fan. Every time I’m feeling uneasy I refer to this album to ground myself. Thank you!! This album has helped me get through a lot this year, so much so that I was excited to comeback and leave a review.
  • Better than a lot of her other albums

Considering that Alanis had been riding the success of JLP almost her entire career and that every album since JLP has only had, on average, one decent song on it, this album isn’t bad. I like ambient music and I can actually listen to more than one song, even if it’s just to help me sleep.

When this album was released I was having a bad day. I put this on while I was at work and within minutes I started feeling calmer. I ended up listening to the entire album while at work. For the rest of the day I was feeling lighter and in a better mood. Thank you for sharing this with us Alanis ❤️ its already on my stress relief playlist

This is definitely not the Alanis Morissette I grew up with....and that's why I love it. People are ever changing and she shows her evolution as a human being and an artist with this album. I think it's a brave endeavor on her part to open herself up like this and I applaud her for it. The whole album is beautiful.

I love Alanis! Went to her show last year and it was awesome! So good! Loved her last album! Listen to it all the time! Having said that… I feel cheated that I bought this album. No lyrics. Nothing “Alanis” about it. I feel robbed and disrespected.

Every song that I previewed sounds exactly the same. Worse yet, it sounds like elevator music. I really like Alanis but this doesn’t make sense. There are hundreds of people that could’ve done an album of ambient music. People buy Alanis albums for her vocals and songwriting skills. If you want something to listen to to help you fall asleep in the evening, this might be it. Otherwise, hard pass.
