Tastes Like Gold

Haven’t kept up with Lit in recent years but decided to give this one a listen and I love it!

These guys never disappoint thank you for evolving into an even better band.

More than 20 years after “My Own Worst Enemy”, Lit is still making great music! Tastes Like Gold is full of energy and fun, with tracks like “Life That I Got”, “Yeah Yeah Yeah”, and “Mouth Shut” leading the way. Prepare to blast it all summer long. A great rock album from an incredibly underrated band.

Saw them perform live in Redmond, OR. Such a fun and awesome performance from the front row and memorable time getting to meet the band (cool dudes). You can tell they still love making music and this album that you can rock out to. Yeah yeah yeah- is my summer anthem, AJ rocks the vocals and Jeremy brings this guitar riffs you can’t help but air guitar to, and Kev’s bass line and Taylor’s drumming make this a must buy song. If they ever remake American pie or something like that, this should be on the soundtrack. Mouth shut-is truth of challenges of saying what’s on your mind even though you know you shouldn’t (my struggles lol). Solid song. Do it again- that one relationship you know isn’t good for you (toxic) but you cannot get away from it and there is a thrill in it still. Relatable. Kicked off the plane- fun and upbeat song. The life that I got- what can I say but I love this song! Another must buy. Tastes like gold- feels like a SoCal ballad. Love the sound, reminiscent of 90’s weezer yet distinctly Lit. Get out of my song- like early 2000’s Lit style. Here’s to another- a lighter song but lots of good stuff. Hold that thought- this is the sad feeling song of the album for me but is a good one. The solo sounds so simple but it carries the feeling through it. Out of it- when listening to it I felt like I could play an 80’s movie to this jam. Maybe a sound track for scenes in Cobra Kai (Johnny training to win the tournament) Yes!!! Bottom line the whole album is awesome. AJ’s vocals, Jeremy’s guitar riffs, Kevin’s bass lines and Taylor on the drums come together perfectly for those that started with Lit in the late 90’s early 2000’s and incorporates new elements that new listeners/fans can and should get onboard with. Buy the album and get these songs on the radio for the masses to enjoy. Old school Lit with some modern flare! Thank you Lit for taking the time to make a great album. Been having the album on repeat!

This album is pure gold. It’s got something for everyone. LIT kills it again.

The wait was worth it, such a great album!

I really liked their last country album, Fast was a killer song that always made me tear up. But it’s also good to have their original sound back, these first 3 tracks are so, so good! Live on boys! Cheers.
